The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine says the number of scientists who have signed the anti-global warming Petition now stands at almost 32,000! Almost a quarter of the scientists have PhDs.
Gore and the IPCC try to dismiss them as “a few”, but, as the organisers retort, it is a very clear signal that global warming is a deception and bad science. Another ploy used by Gore is to call them “skeptics”, thus implying that they are just being awkward! No –they are being honest and showing integrity, which is far more than can be said for the IPCC department of the UN, and for Gore himself, who, knowing of the rapidly growing dissent to his fraudulent views, carries on anyway.
Speaking for the Petition after a Press Club event yesterday, Dr Robinson hosted a special lunch-time briefing in Washington, where he spoke on the global warming scam in the Environment and Public Works hearing room. Talking about how the petition started, he said he sent out an email survey to scientists to gauge their mood, and, he said, response-emails keep coming back to him! He said scientists were “outraged at the way Al Gore and company were abusing the science to their own ends.” Just to check, the survey was resent and scientists were asked to sign a petition against the Kyoto protocol.
The response rate was phenomenal: “Much higher than anyone expected”. So far he has processed over 31,000 but numbers continue to rise. It should be remembered that this roughly 32,000 are in the USA alone! The Petition has yet to strike out worldwide!
But, Dr Robinson is pessimistic, because the media refuse to handle the matter or to write objective articles that debunk Gore’s hypotheses! Yet, many scientists have already put their views on websites. He said the Press are ignoring tens of thousands of scientists who are standing up against global warming lies. What does that tell us about journalistic integrity?
He adds “I hope the public will become aware that there is no consensus on global warming, and that scientists who have been reluctant to speak up will now do so, knowing they are not alone.” Dr Robinson finds his petition distasteful, because he prefers science to speak for itself. But, he recognises that Gore is having such a grievous impact, that something must be done.
